Human Capital Lab Executive Director Rich Douglas contributed chapters for two recently released books in the field of talent development.
Douglas wrote a chapter titled “Give Your Career a Boost with Certification” for the Association for Talent Development’s (ATD) third edition of its “Handbook for Training and Talent Development.” The book, edited by Elaine Biech, contains the latest thinking on an array of talent development concepts and techniques. This version of the handbook presents 56 chapters covering a multitude of topics related to being a talent development professional.
Douglas also contributed a chapter, “Passive Income: Making Your Consulting Products and Services Work For You,” to the ATD’s “Handbook for Consultants.” This book, also authored by Biech, offers perspectives, ideas and techniques for establishing and running your own consulting practice from dozens of leaders in the talent development field.
Douglas has more than 40 years’ experience in training, leadership and delivering solutions for businesses and organizations. During a career that spans the for-profit and non-profit sectors, he previously held leadership positions at AT&T, Corrections Corporation of America, the Central Intelligence Agency, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and the Department of Homeland Security.
